Protocol error when trying to SFTP from server to server

I am hitting a Protocol error while trying to SFTP from one server to another. I have tried to search up Google to no avail. May i know if anyone can help me with this.

Diagnosing network latency issues

I have two servers both with gigabit network cards that were experiencing severe latency issues communicating with one another. The culprit eventually turned out to be that one of the servers was patched into a 100mb switch port.

pinging the servers always returned <1ms

Is there a tool that could show the actual latency / rate of transfer between the servers compared to the maximum that should be possible?

Secure and harden Netezza data warehouse appliance with InfoSphere Guardium

This article will build the basic foundation of a hardened, monitored,
and secured Netezza environment. To achieve this, InfoSphere Guardium, IBM’s solution for
database activity monitoring and auditing, will be used. Hardening Netezza with Guardium
will be presented as a multi-step process: The first step will address the basic initial
setup from a security and user access management perspective. Configuration of users,
groups, and privileges will be addressed. The second step will leverage Guardium
Vulnerability Assessment to scan the environment for Netezza-specific insecure
configurations and privileges. The third step will detail how to address some of the
failed Vulnerability Assessment test by making appropriate adjustments in Netezza configuration.
The last step is ensuring that the optimal configuration of privileges built in the first
and third stages are not tampered with. Guardium Entitlement Reports will be used to
audit the Netezza user management. By this stage we have built a hardened Netezza appliance
with ongoing assessments using InfoSphere Guardium.


Removing/modifying LDAP objectclasses/attributes using olc

I’m having trouble using openldap’s olc to modify a schema without shutting down the server. To test some things out, I made the following schema:

So no real indication of an error. Where am I doing it wrong?
Bonus question: If I have some entries of a certain objectclass, can I modify it (add/remove attributeTypes) without removing the entries?

How the Postmaster@domain address works

I’m very new to Exchange (in fact, an apprentice and studying it at the moment) and am wondering how the address works. An example:

A smarthost configured with one mailbox,, with an * alias so, my understanding, all mail sent to * is SMTP forwarded onto the address.

But what happens now? Does Exchange have a master mailbox Postmaster, that receives all this mail and just dishes it out to the correct mailbox? Or is what I just wrote a pile of garbage!

So I’m a little confused. On the Smart Host – there is SMTP forwarding to forward all SMTP to IP Address x.x.x.x which is active for a mailbox on the smarthost called with an alias of * How is this working exactly?
