How to use LBV Server as the LDAP Authentication Server.

Make sure the SNIP in this case is in the same subnet as that of the NSIP. If its in the subnet of the LB VServer the connection would fail.

Good Working Example.

NSIP: 192.168.1.85

SNIP: 192.168.1.86

LB Vserver IP: 10.100.100.14

LDAP Auth Vserver IP can be: 10.100.100.14 and not the actual Domain controller IP.

Bad working example. – Usually we configure the SNIP in the same subnet as that of the LB VServer Subnet. Because of this the packet will be not able to go out of the ADC and we will see the LDAP bind request but will not be getting in response in the trace. So do NOT configure in the below way.

NSIP: 192.168.1.85

SNIP: 10.100.100.12

LB Vserver IP: 10.100.100.14

LDAP Auth Vserver IP can be: 10.100.100.14 and not the actual Domain controller IP.
