Explanation

This Error event indicates that Exchange was unable to verify that the user account specified in the event description has the required permissions to synchronize with Exchange Server.

Other symptoms you may experience when this event occurs are as follows:

  • Users may be receiving the “Your account does not have permissions to sync with your current settings” error message.

  • Event source SceCli with Event ID 1202 may be logged on the Exchange Server

  • You may be receiving SceCli event.

  • Other Server ActiveSync Error messages may be logged on the Exchange Server.

Exchange ActiveSync Event ID 3012 can be generated when one or more permissions or security settings are not correctly configured.

   
User Action

To resolve this error, try one or more of the following:

  • Verify that you have correctly configured permissions and security settings on your servers that are running Exchange Server.

  • Review the Application log for other Exchange ActiveSync errors that are being logged. Use the information in the descriptions for those events to help you discover the underlying cause of the event.
