The OSI stack encountered an unexpected condition during communication with the transport layer. This usually indicates that a timing window closed during a connection. Associations are paths that are opened to other systems. Each association is contained within a connection and is used to transfer messages to a system. You may have multiple associations in each connection.
If the message flow is not affected, ignore the condition. If the message flow stops, contact Microsoft Product Support Services.
To help Microsoft Product Support Services determine the problem, create log files. See Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 163032 and 168906 for more information.
To create Bf*.log files, in the Server Properties dialog box, on the Diagnostics Logging tab, select MSExchangeMTA. Then set the logging level of the APDU and X.400 Service categories to Maximum. To create APDU logs, in the Server Properties dialog box, on the Diagnostics Logging tab, select MSExchangeMTA . Then set the logging level of the APDU and X.400 categories to Medium or greater.
