This Error event indicates that an unexpected exception occurred when a command was processed in the user’s mailbox. Examples of commands to the user’s mailbox include the following:

  • Append Message

  • Get Message

  • Copy Message

An internal Microsoft® Exchange Information Store (MSExchangeIS) operation may generate this event. The causes of this event may be transient or permanent.

User Action

To resolve the error, follow one or more of these steps:

  • Review the specific description for the event in the application event log.

  • Look for related MSExchangeIS events in the application event log.

  • Check to see whether the MSExchangeIS service is up and running from the Services snap-in.
