Version: 6.5.7596.0
Message: %1 failed an operation because the user did not have the following access rights:%2The distinguished name of the owning mailbox is %3. The folder ID is in the data section of this event.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that the mailbox specified in the description of this event does not have the permissions that are required to perform a specific operation.

If this event occurs in the context of delegate access to another user’s mailbox, the occurrence of this event is by design. Specifically, this event occurs after a delegate user has logged on to another user’s mailbox. This event just reports that the delegate user specified in the description does not have access to that user’s Active Directory account. This behavior is correct, because the delegate user only needs delegate access to the user’s mailbox.

You will only log Event ID 1029 if you turn up diagnostic logging on the Mailbox Store/Access Control category of the MSExchangeIS component to Minimum or more.

User Action

No user action is required if this event occurs in the context of delegate access to another user’s mailbox. To stop the logging of Event ID 1029, configure diagnostic logging on the Mailbox Store/Access Control category of the MSExchangeIS component to None.
