|Component:||Microsoft Exchange Directory Access Cache|
|Message:||Process <process name> (PID=<number>). Received LDAP error 0x<error code> from Directory Server <server name> due toKerberos ticket timeout.|
This event will be seen if Diagnostics Logging on the LDAP category of DSAccess is set to Minimum for the server. This event indicates that DSAccess terminated the existing Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connection because the Kerberos ticket expired. The user operation will be retried, and the domain controller will still be used by DSAccess.
If these events are logged once every 10 hours, which is a normal lifetime period for a Kerberos ticket, they can be safely ignored. If these events are logged too often, check the expiration period in your Kerberos policy. It could be that the settings have been incorrectly changed. If tickets expire too often (several times an hour), this puts an additional load on the Active Directory servers and may cause performance degradation.
