Update agent warning. Microsoft Exchange couldn’t load the IP reputation data file.

This Error event indicates that the IP reputation data file could not be loaded or read. This may be caused by one of the following:

• The file is corrupted at the binary level.

• The file cannot be read because it is locked by another process.

• The file is larger than two gigabytes.

The server will continue processing, but sender reputation will be inoperative.

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

• Review the System and Application event logs for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error.

• If a write lock by another process is the cause, determine why the other process is writing to this file. If this is a file level antivirus program, exclude the directory from the antivirus scan.

• If the file is either corrupted or larger than two gigabytes, contact Microsoft Product Support Services. For information about contacting support, visit the Microsoft Help and Support Web site.
