Explicit bridgeheads to support inter-site replication to and from site %1 over transport %2 have been selected- but none of these servers can replicate the partition %3. Please use the Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in to do the following: 1. Configure servers that can support replication of the given partition as preferred bridgeheads for this transport. You can do this by modifying the corresponding server objects. 2. Ensure the server objects have an address for this transport. For example- servers performing replication over the SMTP transport must have a mailAddress attribute. This attribute is normally configured automatically after the IIS/SMTP service is installed. In the meantime the KCC will consider all servers in this site as possible bridgeheads for this partition.

Explanation

Preferred bridgehead servers have been selected to support intersite replication with the specified site using the transport. However, none of these preferred bridgehead servers can replicate the directory partition. Until this is corrected, Knowledge Consistency Checker (KCC) will consider all domain controllers in this site as possible bridgehead domain controllers for this directory partition.

User Action

Using Active Directory Sites and Services, do the following:

  • Configure a domain controller that can support replication of this directory partition as a preferred bridgehead server for this transport. You can do this by modifying the corresponding server object properties.
  • Verify that the corresponding Server objects have a network address for this transport. For example, domain controllers that replicate using the SMTP transport must have a mailAddress attribute. This attribute is normally configured automatically after the SMTP service is installed.
