User Action

To delete the specified registry entry:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit or regedt32, and then press ENTER.
3. Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DNS\Parameters subkey.
4. In the right pane, right-click the Forwarders entry in the right pane, and then click Delete.
5. Repeat this step for the ForwardingTimeout and IsSlave entries.
6. Close the registry editor, and then restart the computer.

To recreate the registry entries:

1. In DNS Manager, right-click the DNS server name, and then click Properties.
2. Choose the appropriate options in the Server Properties dialog box.
3. Click OK.
4. Click DNS on the menu bar, and then click Update Server Data Files.
