Explanation

The database could not be read or saved to the drive.

Possible causes include:

  • The hard disk is running out of space.
  • There are bad sectors on the drive.

User Action

To resolve this problem, do one or all of the following:

  • Verify that the location to which the database is writing has sufficient disk space.
  • At the command prompt, run dskchk to verify that the hard disk has no bad sectors.
  • If the database is more than 30 MB, run the JETPACK.exe utility to compact it.

For more information about running the JetPack.exe utility, see article 145881 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
