SMSMSE too many Administrator email notifications

Hello

we’ve got a DAG with 6 Exchange servers.

when a rule/threshold or whatever is reached the notifcation is sent multiple times with the same message to the administrator email (this is a distribution list containing 3 users).

It can occurs from the same server or from different server.

This notification was sent thrice to the same email address by the same server:

email subject : “Administrator Alert:  Symantec Mail Security detected an error (SYM:xxx442769)”

“Location of the message:  SMTP

        Sender of the message: user1@domain.com

        Subject of the message:  mail subject

        The attachment(s) “20200-01.pdf” and/or the message was Logged Only.

        This was done due to the following Symantec Mail Security settings:

        Scan: Auto-Protect

        Rule: Encrypted File Rule

 Server Name: Server01″

Any idea ?

I need a solution

We are a small company with our own mail server and got a couple of complains in the last past months that our mail is not deliverd.

“Remote Server returned ‘< #5.7.1 smtp; 554 5.7.1 You are not allowed to connect because your IP is blacklisted

If i go to the https://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/ and check mail servers IP I get the feedback that the IP have a bad reputation?

I removed it from black list many times in last a months, could you please check below about our company infrom.

I need a solution

Hello

I setup a rule content filering rule to reject with notification a sender and activate notification only on external sender

But the notification is received also by the destination recipient.

Someone has the same problem solved? Or is something setup incorrectlly?

The rule is set like this:

Match type: literal string 

Contains: blocked email address

User: if the send is NOT in the list

Notification: Notify external sender

Action: Delete

I need a solution

Good Morning All,

We have an organization that is unable to email us even though we have white listed them. I can email them but they can not email us. Error message on the bounce back email they get is below. Please help.

I need a solution

Hello,

We can’t send messages to recipients who use messagelabs email service,

Our email server mail.aitelecom.net is at IP address 200.9.182.24 and 200.9.182.6

Is it possible to remove this IP address from the blacklist?

Last month we had an issue with one of our accounts sending spam, but we have fixed since then.

this is a sample of rejected message:

I need a solution

Messages sent from our domain which contain our URL, www.lakesidebank.com, are being filtered.  If I turn off the URL in our signature line, the messages go through OK.  This happened about 2 weeks ago as well and I sent an email to investigation@review.symantec.com and they seemed to fix it.  But now it’s back.

Our Domain emails getting blocked by several other companies using Symantec cloud.

Our SPF and DKIM record are properly configured. Please help us to resolve our issue, its hampering our business. We have attached email headers for reference.

I need a solution

Hi all,

It seems we are also being hit with the below bouncebacks for any of our tennants on Office 365 sending to anyone who uses Symantec protection.

The bounceback we are receiving is as follows (for example):

This is a delivery failure notification message indicating that
an email you addressed to email address :
-- XXX.XXX@fco.gov.uk 

could not be delivered. The problem appears to be :
-- Recipient email server rejected the message

Additional information follows :
-- SPF (Sender Policy Framework) domain authentication
fail. Refer to the Troubleshooting page at

This condition occurred after 1 attempt(s) to deliver over
a period of 0 hour(s).

If you sent the email to multiple recipients, you will receive one

Our SPF records for all 365 tennants are up to date as they should be. Any ideas on what we can do? This is starting to impact our organisation…

The reason for the problem:
