Export BigFix Inventory report on the system where the BigFix Inventory application runs

It is possible to download a BigFix Report on the where I’m connected to the BigFix application.
It is possible to set up BFI to send a report via e-mail, but it is not possible to schedule a report to be extracted on the system where the BFI runs

D2 Subscription – No Mails?

Hi all,

we are using D2 4.2 and I wanted to find out if the subscriptions feature could be of any use for us.

Here is what I did for a proof of concept:

  • I created a new subscription: “Subscription 01”
  • The actual event to subscribe to is: “d2_checkout”
  • I linked the new subscription definition to a context so I can see it in D2
  • User 1 selected a document and subscribed to “Sub1”
  • User 2 checked out the document

Result: No email in any inbox

I even tried it the other way around, but there was no mail.

The job “D2JobSubscriptionSendMail” was not started automatically.

I started it manually, but even that did not help.

Where can I find more information on where the mail is stuck?

The same error appears when trying to send inbound mail via smtp inbound proxy. What am I missing? Best

Dear All,

we have about 60 computers using symantec endpoint.

We use Outlook to send and receive mail.

Some excel files attached in outlook can not be opened with error as below:

The file you are trying to open, “Name xxx .xls’, is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now

If we stop the symantec, it can open normally (smc -stop)

we using outlook 2007 and windows: 7

Please help me.

I need a solution

We’re getting  “Unable to send to the following addresses:​” when sending an incident via email, and reponse rules including email notifications are not working. Email is hosted in Gmail and everything has been configured accondingly in System / Settings / General / Configure.
​Is there any log, or testing that could provide an insight about what’s wrong?

Situation

According the the 14.2.2 documentation:
2.5.2 Changing Your Display Name
You can change the name that is displayed in items that yousend from GroupWise. You can only change your display name if theAccounts menu is displayed. The Accounts menu is displayed if youare in Caching mode or if your administrator allows POP and IMAP orNNTP on your GroupWise system.
1 Click Account > Account Options.
2 Click the Mail tab, then click General Options.
3 Type your display name in the Display Name field.
4 Click OK, then click Close.
If you perform the steps above with 14.2.2 client or above,the Display Name will never change in the email.

Resolution

This has been reported to engineering for a change in thedocumentation. The behavior is actually working as designedin the client.

I’m helping a client to install a SPSS Modeler 18.1 for trial session. Code is generated but client site doesn’t have internet. From the old practice, we could generate an email template to send to LYC for offline code. In 18.1, the email template option is gone.

Page cannot be displayed error

I need a solution

We recently enabled a policy to block all external email sites. When users now visit sites such as gmail / hotmail etc, they are presented with a generic browser error page “This page cannot be displayed”, however in the policy trace I see the correct denied by policy in the logs.  Why are they not presented with our custom exception page?  For other sites the custom error page displays properly both http & https sites.  Any ideas?
