Re: D2 4.5 virtual document creation/import

Hello.

I found a way how to create a virtual document from a template. It was a little bit difficult to find this, so I’ll share this information:

1. Create an usual Document Template in D2-Config which will return an instance of Virtual DocumentDocument Template.jpg

2. Create a VD template which will have a binding rule for any component of Template Virtual Document

VD Template.jpg

3. Create a context for template document (from point 1), and check this context with Configuration of VD Template (from point 2).

After that, during creation, if you will choose a virtual document as template and VD Template in D2-Config will be configured correctly, the new created document will be virtual document with the structure similar to template.

Good luck
