When deleting a machine from our web console it disables the AV service, but does not uninstall the agent completely. I found the article below, but this isn’t working for us. Is there a switch for the uninstall.exe that will accomplish this so I can perform it through the Symantec Management Platform?
Let’s say I am using powerlink account with my old powerlink account firstname.lastname@example.org. I have some discussion and douments with that particular account.
Now I changed my job, and again after year or so, I again came back to the same company – now having different email account email@example.com, then on powerlink support forum, will I be able to transfer all my previous dissussions from my old account (firstname.lastname@example.org) to current account (email@example.com)?? and How?
Since our migration to the EMC Community Network you have been seeing the Symmetrix Support Forums main page with the default discussion view.
While this is convenient for displaying content it is limited, if we wish to share other content types beyond discussions.
We are undertaking a pilot program to allow EMC employees to create content via documents on this Forum.
This documentation will be support solution centric and very relevant to your search in the Symmetrix Support Forum. In order to allow you to search those documents we have to deactivate the default discussion view.
You will still have the discussion view available to you, but it will no longer be the default. This change is an enhancement to your Support Forums experience, allowing you to leverage more content that is relevant to you. We will post a notification on this Forum when the change is completed.
Thanks and regards,
The Support Forums Team
Been looking around for this, I saw few older discussion for this topic.
Does Symantec actually officially support a direct migration from SED (PGP) to SEE?
Or it’s actually a rather SEE console can ‘co-manage’ SED clients?
Anybody has a good experience ‘migrating’ them?
I’m running SEPM environment and users are experiencing their roaming profile not being removed from the client when they log off, some of the time. I noticed a SEP log at C:Users%username%AppDataLocalSymantecSymantec Endpoint ProtectionLogs was still there. The log cannot be deleted or moved. It does dissapear after some time after some unknown event.
Is there a way to disable SEP from placing logs in the Users roaming profile AppData?
See https://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/local-profile-folder-cannot-be-deleted-due-symantec-endpoint-protection for more information on the log. Thanks!
Urgent request please
Symantec I hope you are monitoring your forums
Any business emails we are sending to any of our clients using your message labs email filtering service are being bounced with a ‘553-Message filtered’ error message. This only started yesterday. I have ran all the checks suggested on your website and I believe there is no issue with our email service. I have submitted some False Positive submissions but no one has got back to me. Please can someone investigate this urgently for me as it is causing us great issues with our clients. Please can someone get back to me as soon as possible
I just wanted to share what I think will be helpful information related to the commonly experienced error preventing Windows 10’s latest upgrade (version 1803) related to uninstalling Symantec. In my case, I had never installed it in the first place. Another user gave some great information in this post:
However, it can be difficult to find the exact path of the offending files. I discovered a registery key that gives the answer.
Try looking in your registry under:
Any key under that path will have a string value called “ExeFullPath” which should point you to the files that need to be removed. At least, it worked for me.
I hope that helps!
