This may result in the following:

  • Partner Super Admins

May not be able to enable SCFM for their users in the Sophos Central Partner dashboard.
  • Partner Users

May not be able to add new firewall devices.

May not be able to edit existing firewall devices.

Applies to the following Sophos products and versions

To determine if you are affected:

  1. Login to the Sophos Partner Portal
  2. Follow the instructions indicated in Sophos Central Partner: How to self-administer in the Partner Portal, for the administration of users.
  3. In the list of users, determine if there is more than one user with a check mark under “Central Partner Dashboard Admin”.

  1. If you are able to login to the Sophos Partner Portal and have identified that more than one Primary Admin (Central Partner Dashboard Admin) is selected; determine who will be the one Primary Admin and un-check the other Central Partner Dashboard Admins.

Note: You should only have 1 Primary Admin checked.
  2. Launch back into the Sophos Central Partner Dashboard and retry any of the previous issues experienced to confirm if it’s resolved.

Resolved – Advisory: Sophos Central – Frequency exemption for alerts does not work unless language is set to English

The frequency exemption settings of the Configure Central Alert feature currently will only apply successfully if the language set in the Customer Dashboard is set to English.

All other areas of the Configure Central Alert feature are not affected.

  • Frequency of Alert exemptions are performed in the Central Dashboard (regardless of whether it is a stand alone, or if separately managed by an Enterprise or Partner Dashboard.
  • When a successful change is made, you can expect to see a green toast pop up is shown in the bottom right corner of the window.
  • With this issue, if the Central dashboard language is set to anything other than English, customers will not see anything happen when they select a frequency option. There is no error, and there is no green pop up.
    • Other behaviors that may also be experienced:
      • Browsing away and then back to the Alerts page will result in the setting being shown as reset.
      • Looking at the Exemptions tab in the Configure Alerts global setting, the exemption does not show.

Applies to the following Sophos products and versions

Sophos Central Admin

Sophos Central Enterprise Dashboard

Sophos Central Partner

Customers using a language other than English will not be able to immediately set an Alert Frequency Exemption within the Central Dashboard without using the workaround below.

While this issue is being investigated, if you need to apply any Frequency exemptions please do the following:

  1. Temporarily change the Central Dashboard language to English (Select your name/top right menu–>then select Language from the pull down menu)
  2. Apply the Alert Exemptions needed (you will see a green toast pop up (see above) in the bottom right hand corner when successful)
  3. Change the Central Dashboard language back to desired language.

May 6th – The fix has been released and we have confirmation changing frequency type is successful in any language.
