How to use VIP with email clients on OSX

I need a solution

The company I work for rolled out the VIP tool a few months ago.  I normally use email clients to access my email such as Mail.app or Outlook etc. and of course a Calendar app.  Now, due to this 2 factor auth system the only way I can access email is if I use webmail in browser.

Does VIP not allow or provide any way to integrate with standard email clients?  An app only password or some other solution?  OSX specifically?
