“The IP Address 185.153.222.46 was found to have a negative reputation.”

I need a solution

We have been receiving “The IP Address 185.153.222.46 was found to have a negative reputation.” error for months and our mails cannot be delivered. We are a legit company and we are sure that we are not sending and spam or soliciting emails. When we request our ip to be cleared, it is cleared for a while but then, gets to the “bad reputation” list again in a short time. I searched the forum but could not find a solution to this matter. Could you please help us to resolve the issue and clear our ip permanently?

Thanks in advance!

non-client emails going to spam or blocked entirely

I need a solution

Good morning,

my name is Florian Schneider, IT-admin at a transport company based in Valencia / Spain.

We recently changed our domain (reg: 2003) to a gtld-domain (.link, reg:2018) and since are having serious deliverability issues with

customers.

Our emails from the new domain at first were delivered fine.

Then started going to spam. Then were blocked entirely.

We switched back to the old domain and had the same results.

We use our own dedicated mx-servers, appropriately configured.

Also have correct DNS records (SPF,DKIM,DMARC).

Emails have correct formatting and are CAN SPAM ACT conform.

We do not send spam or mass mail to our customers.

The customers who are affected by this problem all are using Office365 / Exchange / Symantec Messagelabs / IronPort (iphmx.com).

We checked and checked all over again and can’t find any errors.

Our IPs have good to neutral reputation. We are not listed in any blacklist.

mail-tester.com gives us 10/10. talosintelligence does not show anything wrong or bad.

senderscore gives us 99%. Microsofts SDNS shows yellow/green with <0,1% complaint rate , 0 red days.

Could you please help us?

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Florian Schneider

SUBJECT in regex

I do not need a solution (just sharing information)

Hello,

At this moment there is a spam  outbreak at our company. The problem is the filtering for this spam. The only way to recognise it is by the name of the attachment wich contains a part of the subject.

The attachment has a name like nolan234.pdf and the subject wil be like p.bakker : nolan234.pdf .

My idea was to create an regex filter wich uses the first part of the attachment (nolan24) and check if the last part off the subject contains this name. (could also be vice versa.. check if the attachment uses the last part of the subject).

But how to use the variable made from the subject is an regex ? is it possible to get a part of the subject.. put it in a variable and use it in a regex ?

Whe use Symantec Mail security for Exchange 7.5.6

Thanx in advance

greets

Jari

Mail Server with good reputation getting 501 Connection rejected by policy

I need a solution

Hello,

I have a mailserver running on IP 178.79.131.118 with good reputation, not on any spam blocklists, not an open relay, with SPF and DKIM alignment and DMARC records.

Trying to send to messagelabs clients returns:

4C580120DEC: host cluster1.uk.messagelabs.com[85.158.142.97] refused to talk to me: 501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 22208, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.

This is incredbily inconvenient, how can I diagnose why this server is blocked and find a way to resolve this?

Many thanks.

Help to remove IP from blacklist

I need a solution

I write to tell you our problem :
since we have activated our internal mail server , our public ip ( 5.xxx.xx.xx *) is blocked by the symantec black-list
Reason: The host has been Observed sending spam in a format that is similar to snow shoe spamming techniques. The host is unauthorized to send email Directly to email servers).

We have configured everything correctly :
record ptr, spf , dkim,dmarc
Our ip is not included in any black-list, we have problems sending mail only to the domain “istruzione.it” which uses the symantec black-list.
In the span of 10 days we had to request the delisting 3 times, today we are stuck again.
I can provide our public Ip in a private message
It is possible to have a contact to solve this problem ?

Thank you for your cooperation

messagelabs.com/Symantec reputation blacklist again and again while not blacklisted elsewhere

I need a solution

Dear Symantec team,

I operate a mailserver that is on no DNS black list, but on your reputation list. I do a lot to defeat spam and I am pretty sure to not be an open relay. I know all users on my mail server personally and they do not send spam. I monitor the number of outgoing mails. I have it in my Munin graphs. Half a year ago, I moved my mail setup to the current server and there was something in the past with the IP address I “inherited”. Some month ago, I noticed that a mail server did not like my server, but without any clear information. With some research I found the Symantec reputation list (https://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/ipr/) and that my server is listed. I submitted a deletion request and got off this black list. But I was added again within a few days. I repeated the step, got listed again and this is going on for a few weeks.

I found this forum and obviously I am not the only one with this problem.

In a current case, the refusing mail server at least gives me the message: cluster8.eu.messagelabs.com[46.226.52.98] refused to talk to me: 501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 26216, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.

Thus, I know it is the/a Symantec list that causes the problem.

How do I get off this list permanently (without moving to another IP address)?

My mailserver’s IP address is: 84.200.61.14

Best regards and thanks in advance,

  Martin

messagelabs.com blocking our mail even though our reputation is good

I need a solution

Hi, we are unable to send mails to a user that has symantec mail cloud security.

 Sender identification U=intermepro D=intermepro.com S=horacio@intermepro.com
Connecting to cluster3.eu.messagelabs.com [46.226.52.99]:25 … connected
SMTP<< 501 Connection rejected by policy [7.7] 26308, please visit www.messagelabs.com/support for more details about this error message.

We believe this might be an error as we dont see any spam issues on the server, and the IP is totally clean.  (108.170.21.50  / 108.170.21.51 )

Could you please help us identifying the problem to work towards a resolution?

Thanks!

Removing of records from Messaging Gateway without login

I need a solution

Some years ago, my company used Symantec for our email spam filter. When we switched to a new MSP, the records representing our email domain were never deleted from Symantec, and because of this a lot of emails are misdirected by Symantec.

How should we go by getting this resolved? Since we’re not Symantec customers today I can’t open a regular support case due to no access to My Symantec.

All tips are appreciated!

Thanks,
Svein Erik Fornes
