Message: The transfer of zone %1 by the DNS Server was aborted by the server at %2. To restart the transfer of the zone, you must initiate transfer at the secondary server. Fore more information, see “Initiate a zone transfer at a secondary server” in the online Help.

Explanation

The DNS server specified in the message terminated the zone transfer.

User Action

Use the ping utility to check the network connection between the two servers. If you cannot ping one of the servers, a network connection problem occurred. Contact your network administrator to verify that the network is working properly. If you can ping both servers, try stopping and restarting DNS on the server that aborted the transfer. Also, you can force a datafile update on the server that aborted the transfer by clicking DNS in the menu bar, and clicking Update Server Data Files. The zone transfer should initiate again when the retry interval expires on the secondary server. If you continue to receive this message, verify that the changes made to the database records on the primary server have been entered correctly.

Service detected invalid object data while polling for configuration information

Details
Product: Windows Operating System
Event ID: 6002
Source: DFSR
Version: 5.2.3790.1830
Message: Service detected invalid object data while polling for configuration information

Explanation

The DFS Replication service detected an invalid object while polling the domain controller for configuration information.

Cause

The object’s attributes do not match the expected attributes.

User Action

The service will try polling again in a few minutes, at which time the problem can resolve itself. If the problem is resolved, Event 6014 will be displayed.

Note: If the service is restarted before the problem is corrected, the success event will not be displayed.

If the problem does not resolve itself, check the object attribute being reported as invalid against what it should be in the MSDN documentation.  It might be necessary to delete the object and reconfigure it in Active Directory® using the management tools.
