Why cannot I temporally disable monitoring emails which are sent through Email: Lotus notes?
I am using Symantec_DLP_14.0.
I have made a policy which is able to monitor and trigger alert log for confidential materials sent through 1) Removable Storage, 2) Email: Lotus Notes, and Web: HTTPS, HTTP, FTP.
Please also see Agent Configuration below:
Please also see server overview below: (all valid licences)
For testing purposes, I am trying to temporally disable monitoring emails which are sent through Lotus notes. For this I have deselected the channel “Email: Lotus Notes”
The tricky thing is I can still receive alerts for emails containing confidential email sent from Lotus notes to a testing Gmail account.
I shall expect deselecting the channel “Email: Lotus Notes”in Agent Configuration is correct way to do so?

Re: Unable to backup Lotus database with NMDA
Hello community,
today I installed a NetWorker Client, extended Client and NMDA software on a Windows Server 2016 R2. It is a Lotus Notes server and I want to backup the Lotus database. My NetWorker server is running also on Windows Server 2016 R2. I am using NetWorker version 18.1.0.2
I created a client resource for the Lotus backup by using the client wizard within NMC. But I am not able to run a backup. It fails with the message:
suppressed 1800 bytes of output.

Unable to find any full backups of the save set ‘<nw-client>:NOTES:’ in the media database. Recommending that a full backup be performed.

The client configuration is pretty simple. The wizard recognized the Lotus installation and filled all the needed information. This is what is displayed under “Application Information” in the client resource:
NSR_BACKUP_LOTUS_DIR:”TRUE”;
NSR_LOTUS_DATA_DIR:”D:\IBM\Domino\data”;
NSR_NOTES_INI_PATH:”D:\IBM\Domino\notes.ini”;
NSR_WIZARD_VERSION:”W1.1″; Notes_ExecDirectory:”D:\IBM\Domino”; name:”Lotus”; type:”LotusCFG”;
Can someone help or give me a hint? Do I need to specify a user somewhere? Or is it better to use the configuration files on the Lotus server?
Thanks in advance,
beacon.

How to add an email address to a keypair
Hi,
We made a deployment of a SEMS in internal placement with LDAP enrollment. Upon successful completion of the enrollment with SKM, we review the new key in SED and note that it has no associated email account. How can we associate an email account with this new key?
The mail server is not MS Exchange or Lotus Domino.

What is the difference between Internet Email Protect and Outlook Email Protect in SEP 14
1. Could you please explain why there is separate option for Outlook and Lotus email protection when all outgoing & incoming emails could be scanned through ‘Internet Email Auto-Protect’ option? Why has Symantec separated Outlook and Lotus Notes from other email Programs?
2. Does Symantec “Outlook Email Auto-Protect” option scan encrypted emails that are sent on POP3 over SSL? I have read the following article which says that Internet Email Auto-Protect option DOES NOT scan encrypted emails. I want to know if Outlook Auto-protect also behaves the same.

Redirect emails.
Hello,
I’m hoping I have the correct forum. I am a developer on IBM systems and have very limited knowledge of email systems. I do not deal with infrastructure or networks.
There are three seperate IBM servers all which forward emails to message labs. One IBM server is our production system and the other two are development and test systems.
Basically we would like to know if it is possible for message labs to be configured to redirect emails that have been sent to message labs from a particual server/domain name.
e.g
Sent from IBM server 1, Production: This should allow all emails out to the web.
Sent from IBM server 2. Development: All emails from this server/domain should be redirected to development email accounts.
Sent from IBM server 3. Test: All emails from this server/domain should be redirected to test email accounts.
The above configuration would allow us to test email software on the IBM severs without the emails being sent to real email accounts.
Apologies for the terminaology I have used.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Regards,
Mark.
