Report a ShareConnect Problem

If you are facing any problems with ShareConnect, you can now report it from the web app or your mobile apps.

Report a problem from the web

To report a problem from the web app, you must:

1. Log in to your ShareConnect account.

2. Under your user name, click the Report a Problem menu option.

3. Select a category and enter a description of your problem.

  • Note: Logs from your remote computer will be automatically included with your issue.

4. Click Submit.


Report a problem from the iOS app

To report a problem from your iOS app, you must:

1. Tap on the Settings icon, and choose the Report a Problem menu option.

2. Enter a description of your problem. You can also upload a photo that describes your issue by tapping the icon.

3. Tap Send.


Report a problem from the Android app

To report a problem from you Android app, you must:

1.On the Settings screen, choose the Report a Problem menu option.

2. Enter a description of your problem. You can also upload a photo that best describes your issue by tapping the icon.

3. Tap Send.

ShareConnect Mobile Settings

The Settings screen provides the following information:

  • My Account: Displays the user’s account information
  • Add Computers: Contains the download link that can be emailed to the user’s registered account when they want to set up a new remote computer.
  • Give Feedback: Displays a feedback form where users can describe to the engineering team their issue or provide feedback on their ShareConnect experience.
  • FAQ: Displays a list of commonly asked questions regarding the app.
  • About: Displays information regarding the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions of using the ShareConnect app.

iOS Settings Screen

To access settings on your iOS device, you can select the Settings icon against your name on the top left corner of the app’s screen.

Requirements and Limitations

  • This app is universal for both Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 users, as well as users with Windows phones running Windows 10. This app can be used on any Windows 10 computer, tablet or phone.
  • Windows 8.1 Phone users can use the original ShareFile for Windows 8.1 app, if needed.
  • Note: Files with a name greater than 40 characters cannot be uploaded via a ShareFile mobile app. The character limit includes the file extension.

Use haptic touch to access Secure Web Shortcut menu, select any of the same and you will be directed to standard interface and not the selected shortcut item.

Use haptic touch to access Secure Mail Shortcut menu, select “Calendar” shortcut you will be directed to standard interface and not the selected shortcut item.

Example:

iPadOS 13.x && SM MPA: The Secure Mail 19.x calendar shortcut via haptic touch fails.

Please note that “New Email” and “Inbox” Haptic Touch actions direct user to correct location in Secure Mail Mobile Productivity Application.

The availability of different MDM related APIs changes with different versions of Android.

Separately, different device manufacturers (such as Samsung) may make alternative APIs available or may make different methods available to interact with native Android APIs. Again, this changes with different Android versions and different manufacturer API versions.

Whilst ‘Android Enterprise’ enrolment modes have received more native MDM capabilities in recent times, the ‘Device Administrator’ enrolment modes have seen capabilities somewhat reduced under different scenarios (as described on this article).

It is recommended to use the iOS URL (platform = iOS).

Safari on iPad devices, now reports itself as a macOS device.

Citrix Endpoint Management site has no option to redirect to the correct iOS site, before the browser will redirect to the right web page. As a result, the wrong profile is downloaded.


When enrolling an iPadOS device using the iOS URL (i.e. https://serverFQDN:8443/instanceName/ios/otae), the following message will be displayed. Please ignore the message and enter credentials to enroll

Note:Enrolling using OTA URL is not supported anymore for iPadOS and iOS (only for macOS)
