Site aggregation fails with error “We couldn't find your site”

This issue is seen because the Proxy logic in the Citrix Cloud Connector expects all the entries in Proxy By-Pass list in all lower case and hence fails to process the entire Proxy By-Pass list, if even one entry is in All Capital or Mixed case.

Due to this, the Web Relay agent services reach out to the Proxy Server to contact the XML Service running on the On-Prem delivery controller.

Since the Proxy servers are not configured to resolve the internal FQDNs, the above service is unable to resolve the Delivery controller addresses and hence the site aggregation fails.

How to Troubleshoot Maintenance Upgrade Failures on Citrix Cloud Connector for Windows

Check Windows Services

The first step in diagnosing any issues with Cloud Connector installation is to evaluate the health of the connector machine.

  • ·Login to the Connector machine as administrator.
  • ·Run Services.msc from either the Start Menu or from a Command Prompt.
  • ·The following Citrix services are required to be in Started state for the Cloud Connector’s communications with the Citrix Cloud.

Solutions

  • ·Try to manually start any stopped services and see if that solves the issue.
  • ·If services are unable to start, review the logs (discussed later) and event view for clues.
  • ·If the services are not listed, the install likely did not complete properly.
  • ·This may require an uninstall, reboot and reinstall of the controller software.

Connectivity Test

Tools

Advanced Logging

  • ·Enable Additional Debug Logging for Proxy Events on Citrix Cloud Connector

Solutions

Event messages

  • Event messages are available in the Windows Application Event viewer on the Cloud Connector machine.
  • All Citrix Services report messages to the event viewer.

·Locate any relevant errors that coincide with the time of the install failure.

Event messages

Event messages are available in the Windows Event viewer on the Cloud Connector machine.

·The Windows event logs that the Cloud Connector generates are in the following documents:

Connector Installation Logs

·Recent installation logsare located here:
%LOCALAPPDATA%TempCitrixLogsCloudServicesSetup.

  • ·Additionally, historical install logs are added to:

%ProgramData%CitrixWorkspaceCloudInstallLogs

  • ·Search the text files for errors or exceptions.
  • ·Look for key points of interest, like where packages are installed successfully, or communications are being tested.

  • Look for any errors that might be related to the exact time of the install failure.Common Exit codes
  • ·1603 – An unexpected error occurred.
  • ·2 – A prerequisite check failed.
  • ·0 – Installation completed successfully.

Solutions

  • ·Make sure the installation pre-requisites are met.
  • ·Make sure the Windows systems are in good health and fully updated.
  • ·Reboot the machine prior to running the install.

Connector logs

  • ·By default, event logs are located in this directory of the machine hosting the Cloud Connector:

C:ProgramDataCitrixWorkspaceCloudLogs

  • ·The plugins folder contains many logs that coincide with the Citrix Windows Services.

C:ProgramDataCitrixWorkspaceCloudLogsPlugins

·Browse these logs if a specific service is failing to start.

Solutions

·Make sure the installation pre-requisites are met.
·Make sure the Windows systems are in good health and fully updated.
·Reboot the machine prior to running the install.

url/site not accessible through proxy

I need a solution

Hi,

We have forward explicit proxy. some of the important sites/urls are not accessible when I enable proxy. I tried to whitelist all on proxy but still the sites are not accessible. symantec support also confirmed there is not issue from proxy. when I disbale proxy they are accessibel without any delay. there is fortinet firewall after proxy and edge router. I checked on firewall to see if firewall is blocking the traffic but could not see any issue on fireall. all i can see is there is reset between the remote site and the proxy. did you ever face such issue and any recomendations?

Proxy Gateway potentially causing website performance issues

I need a solution

Hi everyone

I hope someone can help me with a rather puzzling issue.

We have a website, collaborative.eversheds-sutherland.com 213.212.88.203 which users can connect but experience very slow performance when navigating around the site. This only occurs when they are on the network. Performance when accessed from home or another non-network source is absolutely fine.

From what I can tell, traffic leaves our network via the firewall (bypassing the proxy). This proxy override has also been enabled on Group Policy for this website. However, the puzzling thing is that I’m still seeing active sessions for this website on the Bluecoat Proxy Gateway. I believe the traffic is coming back through the Proxy but I can’t see why.

Gateway details:

ProxySG 810-10 SGOS 6.5.3.6 Proxy Edition

Is there anything I can check on the Bluecoat? Like I say connectivity is there but the website performance is very slow. When users use the developer tools in the browser to inspect the site, they commonly see the following errors:

ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED

CORS Policy Error

I’ve looked up both of these errors and they both point to a proxy issue but I cannot work out what it could be. I’ve attached a screenshot which shows the active sessions currently on the BC Gateway. The Gateway IP is 10.20.48.100 but each different office has it’s own BC Proxy server that does it’s own web filtering. The one on screenshot is from the London office.

I’d appreciate any assistance as this is proving to be a huge issue for me.

Many thanks

SSL

I need a solution

Hello,

Here we have some policies to intercept SSL in some websites and cateogories, but how can I know if they are intercepting? Has any reporting on reporter to view this? Or on Proxy has any way to see wich websites are intercepting?

Tks!

Bluecoat SG300 offline

I need a solution

Hi everyone

I wonder if someone can help me. We have a Bluecoat SG300 in our Middle East office which went down yesterday. This does all the web filtering so the users have had to disable the proxy server in order to have Internet access – not ideal…

I’ve attached a picture of the front of the unit. The power LED is flashing green-amber while the triangle LED is completely off. Does this indicate a hardware fault or is there a way I can bring it back online? The device cannot even be pinged locally. I was thinking of connecting a laptop to it directly and trying to connect locally but I’m not sure if it’s even booting up fully.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Authentication issue in Transparent Proxy

I need a solution

Hello Support,

I am configuring authentication on my ASG device that is deployed transparently with a PBR-switch
SSL interception has been already enabled on the ASG for quite a while.
I have seen the documents about Authentication for transparent proxy deployment and have some queries because i am seeing issue on my user browsers saying “Cant connect securely to this site”.

My virtual URL is https://proxysrv:4431

In my Internal DNS, i have the A record for proxysrv that resolves to an ip address

I have some doubts on the configuration

1>
I have created the proxy service for port 4431 with Intercept
Also specified the destination as ip address of proxysrv
Should it be this way (Destination:ip address)
OR
Should it be Destination:Explicit ?

2>
IN the proxy service of 4431, i have selected the proxy mode is HTTPS Reverse Proxy (as per the document)
The KEYRING is an already created Keyring which is being used in SSL interception for my user’s Internet traffic

Should I create a new keyring for this purpose?

3>
Shoudl I select Verify Client in the service properties?

Regards
Fawaz Musthafa

Reverse Proxy

I need a solution

Hi Guys,

I just had a migration from my old reverse proxy to the new reverse proxy however, I encountered an issue.

The logs that I saw in the access log is TCP_ERR_MISS. Another thing I noticed in the access log is that the client is trying to communicate to the physical interface IP of the proxy instead of the VIP.

What does this mean and how to solve it?

Thank you for your help.

Thanks.
