SEP 14.2 RU2 Products – Rollbacks
I’m currently configuring our LiveUpdate Administrator to get SEP 14.2 RU2 Products. I noticed that there are new products in the SEP 14.2 RU2 Content Updates.
Client – Network Threat Protection (IPS) Rollback
Client – Virus Definitions SDS (Win32) Rollback
Client – Virus Definitions SDS (Win64) Rollback
etc.
Can someone provide more details regarding these products? I can’t see any articles pertaining to these. Also, I’m saving space in our LUA Server’s HDD so I avoid adding products that we are not using.
Thanks!

Patch Management 8.1 Rollback
Hi, everyone.
I would like to know if after applying a patch to a server, can Altiris rollback the patch in case the patch break the system etc?
If yes, what are the requirements?
Thanks in advanced.

XenServer keeps a partition dedicated to downgrades so that there is an easy way to switch back to the previous version.
Before downgrading make sure to document the issue with video, screenshots, time of the last failure and Status Report so that Citrix Support can investigate the failing scenario. See this article for instructions on how to collect the Status Report https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX125372

Re: proxycp.jar error running -selectalldatastore
I am not exactly sure when or why this stopped working but the “selectdatastore” command is no longer working. This is a command I use quite often as we are always adding datastores and moving VMs around. Other commands are still working. I did download the latest version of proxcp, but it did not help. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Here is what I get…
:/tmp/#: java -jar proxycp.jar -selectalldatastore

Proxycp : v2.80

Upgrade 12 to 14 – Rollback
Upgrade 12 to 14 – Rollback
I’m planning on upgrading from SEP12 to 14 and would like to know if it crashed what would be the rollback plan?
Or do not have a rollback plan? Should failure attempt to uninstall? Or install SEP 12 and perform restore?
Before upgrading, do I recommend clearing / deleting some folders for better performance in the upgrade?
Run “truncate transaction log”? And run “rebuild indexes”?

Upgrade Backout Plan
Planning an upgrade to SEPM 14 from 12.1.x. What is the best method of rolling back to 12 should there be an issue. Can we rebuild the environment from Snapshots of the app servers and restoring the database to pre upgrade? Or is there a Symantec perscribed best practice for a rollback of SEPM
Thank you.
