“Error connecting to the session reliability server” or “Error tunneling through the proxy” with Android Receiver and Samsung S8 + DeX

User docks his Samsung S8+ with an existing ICA session to DeX docking station. Expected outcome would be the session to continue on new display. However,users might encounter the errors above.

I need a solution

Samsung S8. After initial install, recieved custom email received notifications, but these stopped months ago and I have not been able to fix. Set exception to quiet times in app settings, tried vibrate on, still no joy.

GroupWise Mobility Service 18

Situation

You have configured Exchange account on S8 device but cannot syncmails. In a mobility-agent log you will see that deviceperiodically changes between ActiveSync protocol 14.1 and 16.0 butdoes not sync any mails. Syncing the same GMS account on any otherdevice works fine.

Resolution

This is a bug on Samsung S8 devices. The GMS workaround fix for this issueis in GMS 18.0.1 build 270 or later

Steps to duplicate:

1.Forward a mail using a Samsung S8 device using either the Samsungmail app or the GMail app.

2.Notice that the forwarded mail will appear as an eml file.

3.Notice that opening the eml file on an iPhone will work.

4.Notice that opening the eml file on a Samsung S8 device usingeither the Samsung mail app or the GMail app will make the appcrash.
