We are instructing all customers who utilize older versions of storage zones controller to upgrade to the latest version of the StorageZones Controller software prior to June 30, 2020. We are deprecating older versions to allow us to upgrade to TLS 1.2. You can plan this upgrade into your regular maintenance schedule.

If you have already updated your storage zones to a version 5.3.1 or higher, no action is required.

However, if you receive communications that it is time to upgrade, follow the directions below to check what version of the software you have and plan to upgrade if it is below 5.3.1.

How to Install new ver SMG on Oracle VM

I need a solution

Hello everybody!

We initially installed the SMG ver.10.6.5-1 system on Oracle VM 3.4.
Everything works.
However, we were not able to upgrade to 10.6.6-5.
Now, installing the latest version 10.7.3 also failed.
We tried updating and reinstalling.
Does anyone have experience installing SMG other than on Vmvare?

SDX went into hung state with the error message “rejecting I/O to offline device”

Solution:

==========

Single Bundle Image (SBI) upgrade to 12.1-53.12 will upgrade the Platform and will move the LSI Firmware to the latest 23.34.0-0019. This latest LSI Firmware version ( 23.34.0-0019) has a fix for the SDX hung issue. Thus, install 12.1 build 53.12 using Single Bundle Upgrade Image again and ensure if the LSI Firmware version has upgraded to 23.34.0-0019.

After the Single Bundle upgrade, you can verify the LSI firmware either from the XenServer console using the below command or by collecting the support bundle of XenServer of SDX appliance.

/opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli -AdpAllinfo -aAll
