Printers fail to map with errors when using UPS on Windows Server 20122016

The following workaround is available –

Add “LimitRequestLine 8190” in the next line after the “LimitRequestFieldSize 65535” to the httpd.conf file located at:

C:Program Files (x86)CitrixXTEconf

The LimitRequestLine directive decides the limit on the allowed size of HTTP request line (which contains HTTP Method, URI and Protocol version). Since 8190 is the default value, having it in the httpd.conf file should not make any difference.

How to increase Memory Heap for the DCS Java Management Console

I do not need a solution (just sharing information)

This post is for reference purpose to help anyone that might need it.

The default memory allocated to the Java Console is 500MB. This is to low for policy tuning as you run out of memory pretty quickly.

To increase the amount of ram allocated to 1GB for the console, modify the Management Console shortcut with the following:

    “C:Program Files (x86)SymantecData Center Security ServerConsoleConsole.exe” -csp -J-Xmx1024m

Citrix Webcam not supported in x64 application like Google Chrome

Webcam redirection is not supported in 64-bit applications with XenApp / XenDesktop 7.16 or older. This was fixed on 7.17 and Receiver 4.11 for Windows.

Also, note downloading Google Chrome and installing – you may note that the application appears in the folder:

    C:Program Files (x86)GoogleChromeApplication

Which would normally indicate that application is 32bit; however, checking Task manager displays as 64bit application:

Unable to load x64 driver preboot

    I need a solution

Switching to HP 800 G4 devices using the intel i219l network driver and when when I select win 10 pe x64, just keep getting the message “restarting dhcp client” confirmed pxe is running on the site server and listening on the correct port

I went to upload the network drivers to preboot but when I try to select x64 it will let me click on add but then just gives me a message “drivers cannot be added” when I try to add them under x86 it works without issue and the new driver folder can be found under the CUSTOM on the nbs

We don’t use x86 PE so need these drivers to be in the x64 folder correct? I copied the folder from the x86 over to the x64 and rebuilding the PXE preboots now but anyone point out what I’m doing wrong here?

Cloned server reports the same App Layering AgentID as the original, and they conflict

To resolve this, you need to make one or both of your servers generate a new AgentID GUID. This is fairly easy.

    First, run RegEdit As Administrator.

    Delete AgentID from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREcitrixAppLayering.Agent

Delete AgentID, if it exists, from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesCitrix.AppLayering.AgentParameters

Reboot, or restart the Citrix App Layering Agent service.

That will regenerate the AgentID. Then you need to register the agent with the ELM using the new AgentID.

    C:Program Files (x86)CitrixAgent>Citrix.AppLayering.Agent.Service.exe register /e:ELM-ADDRESS /i /u:administrator

    Password: ********

Attempting to connect to ELM at address: ELM-ADDRESS

    Successfully registered with the ELM.

    C:Program Files (x86)CitrixAgent>

We recommend generating a new AgentID only for the clones. Currently there is no simple way to remove a duplicate entry from the Agents list, so if you register the agent, regenerate the AgentID, and register the agent again, there will be two records, and you need to ignore the first once. If you wind up with duplicated agent records, open a Support Case.
